Location: Persian Gulf

Project:
A transportation hub is a place where passengers and cargo are exchanged between vehicles or/and between transport modes. Public transport hubs include train stations, rapid transit stations, bus stops, tram stop, airports and ferry slips. Freight hubs include classification yards, airports, seaports and truck terminals, or a combinations of these. As part of a comprehensive master plan this study focused on the nodal points of transportation that are required to support a project with over 60m gsf of area and uses that include, residential communities and resort hotels. The transportation hubs are designed to transition Owners and guests from their homes and resort areas to entertainment/commercial zones as well as supplies and cargo necessary to support the project. Each hub is designed with a program that includes commercial/retail, restaurants, entertainment and support functions, medical facilities, fire station, police station, etc. Each hub is designed with the architectural character and elements distinctive to the region that they are located.
